Managing forty acres can be a daunting task. Add thousands of markers and monuments to that forty acres, and that daunting task becomes much more challenging. Mowing, for example, is the cemetery’s largest expense. It costs well over $75,000 annually just to keep the cemetery mowed.
Rose Hill Cemetery depends on donations to keep the grounds maintained, the roads passable, original-growth trees maintained, and the gates opened for guests.
